The Malaysian Esports club, Geek Fam, made a breakthrough by collaborating with The Academy of Esports. They launched their own platform under the name Geek Academy.
This program will focus players on improving their game while offering course packages to hone skills in the world of esports. This program is temporarily approved in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2 games.
"The Geek Academy offers a new program that is accessible and serves not only hardcore gamers who can compete, but also those who want to improve their game skills," he added.
In addition to discussing basic mechanisms and strategies for the world's most popular sports games, they also have classes on conflict management, decision making, and social skills.
"Our program challenges students' cognitive development. We educate them about cognitive intelligence such as hand-eye coordination and anticipation and reaction time, and practice cognitive intelligence such as analysis and critical thinking," Geek Fam said.
In spaces like esports, they learn to analyze correctly and solve critical problems. They can also practice the skills and mental tricks of professional Geek Fam players like "DuBu" Doo-young and Carlo "Kuku" Palad.
